I designed this cake for a styled shoot at The Pilgrims Rest in Battle, East Sussex. I used rose gold lustre on the top two tiers with a large coral peony. I then featured a half tier in coral to match the peony with initials for a personal touch. The bottom tier has a lace stencilling and sugar blossoms

Cake cutting photos get me every time, this one in particular of the lovely Katie & Tom in the boathouse at Wilderness, Preston Court has got to be up there. It’s one of those things that most people haven’t done before let alone in front of a crowd. You’re given a blunt knife, a (hopefully) sturdy cake (table dependant) and you have no idea how much pressure is needed so either just go for it or nothing happens. Cracks me up every time, and produces the best photos and facial expressions. In my opinion there’s no better reason to have a wedding cake. These two totally smashed it and the expression on Katie’s face says it all. Thank you both for being epic!

I have SO many lovely cakes to share from 2024 so far, this 3 tier fondant iced beauty was made for A&J in June. Decorated with hand made sugar flowers and styled in collaboration with Gemma @thebloominatiflorist this is such a great example of how a cake can be unique and presented in a more creative way than the usual white round table. Which is of course fine too but this I thought was a beautiful way to make a cake shine.

This 4 tier classic Lambeth style lady was delivered to @thirdavenuehove yesterday for E&R. With a gluten free top tier, passionfruit and vanilla, chocolate and salted caramel and lemon on the bottom tier. All finished in white chocolate ganache.
The juxtaposition of this classic style in the chic Hove venue was just perfect. Congratulations to you both!

A modern, textural, elegant cake in ivory, green and gold was the brief for this 3 tier cake I delivered yesterday. D&N asked for no flowers just handmade sugar ivy leaves and rice paper sails on their white chocolate crisp finish. Lemon drizzle, chocolate & salted caramel and strawberry & champagne were their choice of flavours.

Becky & Dan had an idea of the vibe they wanted for their cake, there were certain design elements that they liked. I helped them bring it all together with this 3 tier white chocolate design. With a marbled bottom tier, sugar roses and rice paper sails to give it a modern, light feel. They had my styling package which included me totally changing the table at Blackstock and displaying the cake on an acrylic plinth with a white table top.
