I’ve noticed a new wedding cake trend emerging over the last year and for this styled shoot I felt it was the perfect occasion to try it out!

My take on an Italian style wedding cake with sweet puff pastry, crème patisserie and oodles of fresh berries. For couples that don’t want a traditional wedding cake I think this is great, you get the drama of the huge centrepiece and it’s delicious!

A festive green and gold themed wedding today for J&D @buxtedparkhotel
I used fondant icing for this one with forest green on the bottom tier with hand painted gold trees to match their stationery, a marbled middle tier and a snowflake design on the top tier with bespoke initials. Finished with pine cones with help from my lovely friend Hayley @theflowerhouseburwash and gold sugar leaves
