Lisa & Stuart

Lisa & Stuart married at Salomons Estate near Tunbridge Wells. They wanted an elegant, simplistic design for their wedding cake which incorporated their colour theme of blue. We opted for a tall and narrow cake to fill the high ceilings in the room. The top is adorned with sugar flowers in white and blue berries to match & subtly tie in with the theme.

I made this 3 tier white chocolate ganache finished cake for this spring wedding at Stanhill Court. I loved getting creative with the flowers on the cake and made matching bud vases to decorate the table too. The personalised stand was made by my husband @nick_fitter_carpentry and the cake was finished with strawberry macarons

Feeling festive?
I went to watch my son’s first nativity today where he was an angel and I definitely feel festive now.
This was a Christmasy wedding cake @georgeweddings I loved the delicate details and piping and have recreated this style a few times this year for more summery cakes but I definitely have a soft spot for this winter version.

I’ve been a bit quiet recently on social media b

I’ve been a bit quiet recently on social media but behind the scenes have been busy talking to lots of couples about their 2024 wedding cakes and taking bookings for 2024/2025. I really enjoy the contrast of an on and off season when working in the wedding industry as the off season gives me a chance to recuperate, creatively and mentally and prepare for the season ahead like a little squirrel stashing nuts away except I’m stashing wedding cake sketches 😆

I’ve got some lovely designs coming up this year, lots include pressed flower cakes which I adore making so not only am I planning the cake designs but gathering seeds ready to sow in my poly tunnel to grow beautiful edible flowers which I will press for cakes.

Is anyone else out there enjoy taking it slow in the winter months?

When you book me to make your wedding cake I try to make the experience as relaxed a an enjoyable as possible. You are there to be the passenger enjoying the view and coming up with suggestions of where we might go. You can put your trust in me to turn in the right direction and push your suggestions into places that will work, I do the stressful part and deliver the cake on the day looking beautiful.

This was a relatively hot day in August, I arrived to set up the wedding cake around lunch time and the marquee it was going in had been closed all day and was just too hot. So I made the decision to store the cake inside the house where it was cool and I came back 3 hours later just as the guests were arriving to set it up. I’m not sure Carolina knew this, but it didn’t matter because she had 100% faith in me that it would be there and ready when she needed it in perfect condition.

This trust and expertise is the service you expect when you book a supplier like myself or one of the other fantastic wedding suppliers that I work with in this industry and love providing a 5 🌟 service
