Katie & Guy married at the stunning Wadhurst Castle then had their celebrations at The Bell in Ticehurst. They had this 4 tier buttercream finished cake with fresh flowers provided by Kim at the Flower House Studio and finished off with cute giraffe toppers. The personalised stand was made by my talented husband who takes commissions! Thank you to Fizzy Robot for the images.

Mix tradition with a pinch of theatre and a healthy dose of fun. The iconic cake cutting moment is one to be cherished and enjoyed. I also recommend tasting some of the cake as you cut it, looks really fun in photos. Finally, don’t be scared to move the cake for the cake cutting moment if it works better. Josie and Josh also then used the cake as dessert, even better!

I made this 3 tier white chocolate ganache finished cake for this spring wedding at Stanhill Court. I loved getting creative with the flowers on the cake and made matching bud vases to decorate the table too. The personalised stand was made by my husband @nick_fitter_carpentry and the cake was finished with strawberry macarons

The Enchanting Cake Table B&T asked me to create

The Enchanting Cake Table

B&T asked me to create them a cake table spread for their intimate wedding which started at Canterbury Cathedral and then the celebrations continued at The George in Rye. Incredible flowers adorned the stunning ballroom and the couple had a string quartet playing in the background. Their vision came to life and I was proud to be a part of it by making and styling this table for them with 3 small cakes, cupcakes, meringues and macarons. The satisfaction when I had completed this set up was off the charts.

I went to watch my son’s first nativity today where he was an angel and I definitely feel festive now.
This was a Christmasy wedding cake @georgeweddings I loved the delicate details and piping and have recreated this style a few times this year for more summery cakes but I definitely have a soft spot for this winter version.

I’ve been a bit quiet recently on social media b

I’ve been a bit quiet recently on social media but behind the scenes have been busy talking to lots of couples about their 2024 wedding cakes and taking bookings for 2024/2025. I really enjoy the contrast of an on and off season when working in the wedding industry as the off season gives me a chance to recuperate, creatively and mentally and prepare for the season ahead like a little squirrel stashing nuts away except I’m stashing wedding cake sketches 😆

I’ve got some lovely designs coming up this year, lots include pressed flower cakes which I adore making so not only am I planning the cake designs but gathering seeds ready to sow in my poly tunnel to grow beautiful edible flowers which I will press for cakes.

Is anyone else out there enjoy taking it slow in the winter months?
